Born 2003 in Williamstown, New Jersey
Keren Mikanda is not Keren Mikanda.
She is interested in exploring how we conceive of the ‘Self’, also known as our Ego. Through photography and video, her work seeks to investigate the precarious construction of identity.
She is trying to make sense of how the beliefs we hold about ourselves and our relation to what we consider outside of us, manifest real and lasting consequences in this material world, however fragile or illusory.
